DNA Explainer. 2013.

I was delighted to return to Territory as a really promising project - directed by Will Samuel for BBC Knowledge - was in development. The aim of the piece was to distill the subject of human DNA into an accessible but not distortingly simplistic overview. I loved the look of what Will and the animators had done so far and felt that our styles were very compatible. I was confident that I could bring something of my own to the piece, developing the style without conflicting with its sensibilities or creating any disjointedness. I worked up some boards of what I had in mind for the human figures and Will was also enthusiastic. Above are some of the moments in the video that I designed and animated.
